why weddings:
Weddings have always fascinated me for one reason: it's the one day where every important person in your life ends up in the same room. I grew up in a big Italian family, so a house full of loud, loving people was never a special occasion for me, it was just Tuesday. But I've come to realize how rare that actually is. Getting to document a room like that, full of the people who shaped someone's whole life, never gets old.
how I shoot:
My approach is simple: I stay out of the way. I'm not going to stop the flow of your day to pose a shot or pull you away from your guests. My job is to catch the day as it actually happens, including all the small stuff happening around the edges, the guests laughing at the bar, your grandmother watching you dance, the moment right before you walk down the aisle. I know how to be exactly where I need to be without anyone noticing. And I'm definitely not the guy lurking in the corner with a long lens either. Getting real, unguarded moments on camera means people need to feel comfortable with me there in the first place, so I use my personality to make that happen. If I've done my job right, you'll forget I'm even there. You'll just be yourselves, and that's exactly what I want.
