Introduction
I'm Sofiya Luna, a wedding filmmaker based in New England.
I shot my first wedding at 18 — and never looked back. This is my 6th season behind the camera, and if anything, I love this work more now than I did when I started.
From the beginning, I knew I didn't want to make the kind of wedding films I kept seeing: stiff, posed, over-produced. I wanted something that actually felt like being there. Raw. Real. Alive. So I built my own way of doing things.
I shoot with a mix of cinema cameras and analog formats — Super 8, camcorder, VHS — layering textures the same way memory actually works: sharp in some places, grainy and half-remembered in others. Sound is huge for me too; the way a day sounds is just as important as how it looks. And I deliberately avoid the stuff that feels manufactured — no slow-mo, no posed shots. If it didn't happen naturally, it doesn't belong in your film.
My edits are unpolished on purpose. I'm not chasing perfection — I'm chasing the truth of the day: the nerves, the chaos, the in-between moments nobody choreographed.
What I care about most is capturing your day the way it actually felt, not the way a wedding is "supposed" to look. Because someday, you'll want to go back to this — and I want what you find there to be real.

Sofiya was our wedding videographer and I truly cannot say enough positive things about working with her and the team! She was so communicative throughout the entire process and really took the time to understand us as a couple, and that showed in the final product she produced. We were absolutely enamored by our videos - both the teaser and longer-format video. We last minute decided we wanted the raw footage too which Sofiya quickly and easily sent to us via a hard drive in the mail. That has been so fun to go through as well! We had our wedding in 2024 in southern Maine. We booked Sofiya Luna Studios (SLS) for our rehearsal dinner and wedding day. SLS is incredibly compassionate, considerate, and talented! They follow your direction, can read the room, and have an excellent eye for detail (in the moment and while editing). They are true chameleons and can capture exactly what you're looking for. SLS is warm, professional and flexible. Could not recommend them more!!! Even if you're not looking for wedding pics/video, they have a true skill in capturing honest, big moments in life - I would trust them with a birthday, business, wedding, concert, or baby/pregnancy. SLS is very creative and thoughtful!!! Couldn't recommend them enough!!!

Absolutely! I much prefer a meeting. It’s the best way to answer any questions you might have and, more importantly, to get to know each other. The normal delivery time for a wedding film is 4 months. However, the wedding trailer will be completed within 1 week after the wedding.
What is the normal delivery time for a wedding film?
Absolutely! Normally, I require an upfront payment of $1,000 to secure your date. 1/2 the remaining balance is due 6 months before the wedding, and the remaining balance is due 1 month before the wedding.
